International recording arist, The Queen of Swing: Kelli Grant, takes you on a trip down a musical highway of Jazz, Blues, Dixieland, Jump Blues, Basie's Swing and R&B. Kelli is from Kilgore, Texas. She has been inducted into the Western Swing Hall of Fame and has traveled the world with her band the Swing Kings.
Kelli Grant and The Texas Playboys
When Kelli Grant graduated from college with a degree in music, she immediately went to work at the Reo and found herself on stage with Johnny Patterson, a former member of Bob Wills Texas Playboys. Before long the young college girl was playing with the seasoned members of The Texas Playboys but never imagined that she would some day front the band. When Johnny got ill, Kelli stepped up to the plate and is still thrilled that these amazing musicians trust her to fill every big shoes.
